Annuals
~
An annual is a plant with a life cycle of one growing season. Some
annuals will return after a mild winter - sometimes for several years.
Others will reseed, coming back year after year from seeds dropped as
blossoms fade and dry. However, for the most part, annuals live for one
growing season.The advantage of annuals is that they bloom continuously
for the entire summer giving glorious color until frost, or winter kills
them.
At Middle Creek Nursery we do not grow our own annuals. From mid to late April we bring in plant material from several reputable, reliable local growers. Our selection is subject to availability and weather conditions. Fresh material arrives weekly. We have annuals available in hanging baskets, market packs with 4-6 individual plants in each, and individual plants in 3, 4, 5, or 6 inch pots. A select group of vegetables is available in market packs of 4 individual plants, or 3 and 4 inch pots of individual plants.
We often have more exotic annuals in individual pots which are really subject to availability and vary greatly from week to week. This selection would include newly developed plants and some older varieties not easily found. If you are looking for something specific, call, click, or drop-in and ask if we have it, or can get it for you.
